Would you like to learn and practice public speaking skills in a warm, supportive English speaking environment?

Following the summer recess, Gothenburg Toastmasters will resume meetings every second Monday at Södra Allégatan 1 B. All guests are very welcome, so why not come along and see what we do. While guests may be asked to introduce themselves, there is no pressure to participate in any activities.

To help cover the premises rental cost, Gothenburg Toastmasters charge guests a fee of 20Kr. This is collected at the door. Swish is the preferred payment method.

And please be assured that all government recommendations regarding Covid-19 will be strictly followed.

Experienced professionals and beginners alike can benefit from our meetings. You will learn and practice public speaking in a friendly and comfortable English-speaking atmosphere with members who are there for the same reason you are — to become better communicators, at the same time have fun doing it! Guests are welcome to observe or join in on the impromptu part of the meeting.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
A toastmasters meeting is a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere.

In the first part of the meeting, you will listen to the prepared speeches by members. This is followed by a coffee break and the second part includes impromptu talks on assigned topics (unprepared/spontaneous speeches that even you as a guest can volunteer to participate in!). You do not need to prepare anything for the meeting.

There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success.

Though our meetings start at 18:30, we encourage all guests to arrive earlier for some meet and greet and general conversation.

To ensure that the meeting will start on time, doors will close at 18:30

We look forward to meeting you at the Gothenburg Toastmasters club!
