Thursday Floor Hockey Pickup at Windy City Fieldhouse - 8:30

This 2-Hour Floor Hockey pickup is the perfect way to get a cardio workout in with solid competition and fun. We play 6v6 (no required gender ratio). Space is limited to just 3 teams with a max of 1 subs each so that you'll get plenty of playing time with the chance to grab a break when you need it. When we have enough for 3 teams, we'll keep track of wins and crown a champion at the end of the night.

Our host will check players in, divide players into teams, and make sure that everything runs smoothly. All you have to do is show up ready to play!

Pricing
$12 - For Goalies - Max of 2 (Please post a comment after you RSVP to let us know you're a goalie)
$15 - RSVP and pay online in advance (quicker check-in)
The option to pre-pay online will be available when we have enough people signed up to guarantee a game. The host will post a comment with instructions on how to pre-pay when the option is available. Sign up early to encourage a good turnout!

As of March 2018, each Grab A Game Participant must fill out our online waiver. It only needs to be completed once for all Grab A Game groups and games. If you have not yet filled out this waiver, please complete it before attending this event:

What to Wear and What to Bring
· You are welcome to bring your own stick, but if you don’t have one, don’t worry, we have plenty!
· Goalies may bring their own gear, though we’ll have 2 sets on hand just in case.
· Players often wear shinguards and mouthguards, but it is not required.
· Eye protection / goggles are required. (don't have a pair? Please post a comment, and we can lend you a pair for the night. Limited supplies.)
· Most players wear gym shoes. On rainy, muddy, or snowy days, please bring your shoes and change into them at the facility. This will help keep the floor clean of dirt and water.
· Bring a light colored shirt and a dark colored shirt in case we do not have pinnies on hand. For most events, we will provide pinnies.

What to Expect
Show up early! The game will begin at the time posted for this event. Players may start checking in with the event host as early as 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. If a court is available, you may begin warming up before the event begins. The hockey goals will be set up and we’ll provide the balls and pinnies.

Level of Play
Males and females 18 and older of all skill levels are invited to play. There is no required gender ratio. We do our best to create even teams for well-matched games. There are no referees, so players need to play with sportsmanship and make their own calls. We aim to make everyone feel welcome at these events.

Facility Information
Windy City Fieldhouse is located at Logan and Western. We are playing indoors on a rubberized all-sport surface. It has several courts for different sports. Make sure you check which court we are playing on listed in the location section above or in the comments section below.

Transportation
There is free parking in the parking lot along the side of Windy City Fieldhouse and in the Target parking garage. Please do not park in the Target parking lot. Parking along the fence near the Target parking lot are metered spots.

Minimum number of players
This event needs a minimum of 10 people (not including the host) signed up before the start of the event in order to run. An email notification will be sent if we cancel. Refunds or credits will be issued if we cancel. Sign up early to encourage more people to sign up!!
