GRANTS CAFE: Re-Discovering Total Resources for Grant Budgets

Details

This virtual session will share steps and tools that the presenter has developed and used to improve the sustainability of program budgets in grant proposals in conjunction with Discover Total Resources: A Guide for Nonprofits. The guide was popularly distributed to hundreds of thousands of nonprofits by Mellon Financial from 1985 to 2000 and still carries timeless advice. Please review this free PDF of the guide and bring your questions to the session. The photo shows a portion of the budget worksheet tool to be shared. This session addresses GPCI Competencies and Skills #3.07 (Identify existing community resources that aid in developing programs and projects) and #4.09 (Identify sources of cash, in-kind, and or leveraged matches for project budgets). To better manage and secure this virtual meetup, only RSVPs received by 5 pm (Eastern U.S. Time) the day before will be admitted to this event - no exceptions!

Katherine FH Heart, GPC, M.Ed. is the presenter and a Grants Cafe Co-Facilitator. She has utilized DTR to prepare and teach nonprofit budgets. Katherine is a GPA Approved Trainer with 14 years of grant training experience through Heart Resources LLC.
