==== this event will be recorded ====

Hi there!

We are really excited about announcing our next meetup that will be hosted at Facebook offices.

Johannes Schikling, from @graphcool (http://twitter.com/graphcool) (Berlin) will talk about using Subscriptions using Apollo and React. Subscriptions are really cool as they bring real-time capabilities to GraphQL. So we are really looking forward to this talk.

Adam D.I. Kramer, will share a sneak preview of the GraphQL Server implementation used at Facebook using Hack, a type-safe compiled PHP. This is the language that Facebook’s IOS/Android apps and Javascript implementations use to fetch data!

Lee Byron, based in San Francisco (Facebook) and co-author of GraphQL (http://graphql.org/) will be answering any questions you have around GraphQL by using #askgraphql on twitter at the end of this event.

Facebook will provide the venue and also some appetizers during this event like beef sliders.

In this talk we'll dive deeply into GraphQL subscriptions and see how to use them today in real-world applications with Apollo Client (http://dev.apollodata.com/). We will explore the concepts behind subscriptions and how they work on a full-stack level. By the end of the talk you'll have a good understanding when and when not to use GraphQL (http://graphql.org/) subscriptions and what the future of real-time GraphQL (http://graphql.org/) might look like.
