What we're about

This is a community for anyone interested in improving well-being through the practice of gratitude, walking in nature, connecting with others.

The mission of this community is to heal from all those things that are holding us hostage, to reconnect with self while connecting with nature and those around us, and to give thanks for the simple things/people/opportunities we take for granted.

It is scientifically proven that movement, nature, feeling grateful, and socialization (individually) not only reduces stress it increases our psychical and psychological wellbeing. Can you imagine the benefits of combining them all? Yes, you are right, you get an explosion of fulfillment, peace, and happiness!

By profession, I am an Organizational Psychologist who is married to the science of human and organizational behavior. Yet, I cannot deny the fact that the combination of connecting with nature, walking/hiking, meeting people, and practicing gratitude is at the core of who I AM.

Honestly, I am just looking for fellow spiritual beings who are willing to let their hair down, practice non-judgment and acceptance towards themselves and others, share their journey, and are willing to just bask in nature……. If you are that person, welcome home…

We have a Facebook group where we share quotes, techniques, and other tools to encourage each other to be obsessively grateful! It is empowering and liberating! We also do gratitude walks in different locations throughout Hartford County. When we meet, we share three things we are grateful for and then think of one goal we want to achieve, and we walk our way into our breakthroughs!! Looking forward to sharing this practice of gratitude and exploring the outdoors with everybody. In gratitude, xo

No Hike/ Gratitude Walk This Week: Enjoy Your Weekend!

Every Saturday morning at 9 am we will meet up for a gratitude walk. I try to find a different place but will revisit favorites from time to time. I will post the location at least 5 days in advance.

Sometimes we will meet indoors for breakfast and lively discussions around living in gratitude, and share ways to make sense of our past, bring peace to 'the now' and create a vision for tomorrow!
