What we're about

Hello Campers, Hikers, & Paddlers,

What can you expect with this meetup - Watch our video. (Best viewed full screen.)

The Great Lakes Outdoor Adventures Meetup is a group of adults who enjoy the outdoors through camping, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, snow shoeing, fabulous camp fires, and other adventures! We enjoy 3-4 day camping trips to Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana with opportunities for hiking, canoeing/kayaking and visitations to local sites. We also host a variety of one day outings around the Chicago and nearby areas

A hallmark of our trips is that we dine together with group preparation of meals and a volunteer system to share responsibility for conducting each event. We are a fun and welcoming bunch, so if you are looking for new friends who share your yen for outdoor adventures, this is the group for you. All levels of experience are welcome provided you have the requisite skills for any activity in which you participate.

Hope to see you around a campfire or one day outing real soon!
