Great Lakes Photo Adventures (@GLPA) is a group focusing on photography in and around the Great Lakes.
GLPA will host photowalks, photography workshops, and seminars in all regions of the Great Lakes in the US and Canada.
You don't have to be a professional photographer to join, your Cellphone, Mirrorless or DSLR will work.
We teach the fundamentals of photography from the Beginning Photographer to the Advanced Amateur.

Spring has Sprung, let's take pictures of beautiful Traverse City and the Bay.
In Traverse City, Michigan, cherry blossoms typically appear from late April to early May. The peak bloom usually occurs in the first week of May, lasting for about two weeks. Blossoms typically start appearing in areas further from the water, like Acme and Williamsburg, and then progress to areas closer to the lakeshore.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:- Late April/Early May: Cherry blossoms begin to appear in the region.
- First week of May: The peak bloom is typically reached.
Friday
We will meet in Traverse City at 6 pm for a meet, eat, and greet.
I will go over camera settings and composition and answer any questions you might have.Saturday
Plan to start bright and early Saturday morning, to catch sunrise and a quick breakfast. We will then head out to the cherry fields and Mission Point Lighthouse.
We will stop for lunch and continue up M22 to capture Sunset at Grand Traverse Light, shooting along the way.Sunday.
