What we're about
Great Pond Sangha is for anyone interested in Buddhist meditation, newbies and old-timers alike. We offer the following: guided and silent meditation practices primarily from the Mahayana and Natural Awareness (Dzogchen,Mahamudra) traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, info sessions for beginners, Dharma talks, discussion and Q&A, study group, half and full-day mini retreats, evening and day-long programs with visiting teachers/lamas, opportunities to engage together in Seva (sacred service), all-ages potlucks and movie nights, yearly all-ages weekend retreat.
Some significant sources of inspiration for our group are the teachings of Lama Willa Miller, Pema Chodron, and Thich Nhat Hanh. We serve the entire Merrimack Valley community and are affiliated with North Parish U.U.
The following weekly activities are offered free of charge and are open to anyone who would like to drop in: Wed evenings 7:30-9:00 pm Guided Meditation and Discussion; Fri mornings 8:30-9:15 am Silent Sitting and Walking Meditation.
