What do you want to change or heal? This six-week course explores a variety of philosophies and techniques for clearing, building, and balancing spiritual energy. During this time, you’ll apply your energy work to the thing you most want to heal and see your own transformation unfold.

4. Jul 22. Reiki for Healing. Balancing and healing the tanden using breathing meditations.
5. Jul 29. Esoteric Healing. How to visualize color and direct energy for balancing and healing.
6. Aug 5. Energy Work for Magic. How to apply energy building and balancing techniques to create change in the world around you.
7. Practice Session 2 on Saturday, August 8, 9:30-11:30 am Pacific.
8. Aug 12. Energy Work for Personal Transformation. How to apply energy building and balancing techniques to create change in yourself.

Have you ever flipped through the little white book in a new tarot deck and wondered, "Is there more to it than this?" The answer to that question is an emphatic yes. There is more than you can imagine, and it goes much deeper than the mundane interpretations of these symbolic images.

The keys to these more sublime levels of tarot work were etched almost 250 years ago in the French school of occultism, and ultimately forged in the early years of the twentieth century by the Golden Dawn. This British magical society took their cues from an arcane Judaic spiritual philosophy known as qabalah--what Dion Fortune described as the "yoga of the west."

More than an in-depth study of symbolism and mysticism, Tarot Pathworking on the Tree of Life is a practice, a standardized meditation process that clarifies our purpose, evolves our soul, and guides us toward the highest levels of union with the Divine.

Monthly Format
For 2026, Tarot Geeks and Greater Seattle Astrology • Tarot • Reiki return to this intriguing subject, taking a protracted examination of qabalah's primary glyph, the Tree of Life, and its symbolic relationship with tarot.

In this ambitious but thorough 12-month online series, we will examine each individual station of the Tree below the veil, the paths that connect them, and the layers of esoteric content that enrich the meaning of every card in the deck. We endeavor to do so with a good mix of intellectual discourse and guided meditations.

Suggested Tarot Decks for Study and Pathworking:
The material is of an intermediate to advanced level, so participants would be expected to already have a basic knowledge of tarot. We recommend working with a deck that follows a Golden Dawn, Thelemic or similar magical tradition for the most relevant symbolism. Some good examples include, in alphabetical order by author:

This is a free two-hour workshop.

We meet on the first Saturday of the month from 9:30am-11:30am Pacific time. 10:30-12:30pm Mountain, 11:30am-1:30pm Central, 12:30-2:30 Eastern, and 5:30pm-7:30 pm London time.

This Meetup will be held *IN-PERSON* at my office in Burien!

If you are new to Meetup, please note that Meetup is FREE to join, and the Greater Seattle Astrology * Tarot * Reiki group is also free to be a part of. We had technical difficulties when I first offered this topic in March. I've had a number of requests to repeat it. Also, my own practice with these techniques has evolved over the past few months, so I think now is a great time to offer a new-and-improved version of this topic.

It's not often acknowledged, but imagination and intuition are closely related. In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore what intuition is and how it relates to imagination. Then we'll practice using tarot card prompts for creative writing to inspire our imagination. We'll conclude with a discussion of the difference between exploring a card imaginatively vs understanding a card through traditional reading styles.

Through these creative writing exercises you'll learn to access your own intuition or inner knowing and free your natural tarot voice!

I suggest that you bring a fully illustrated tarot deck, preferably one with a lot of detail to pull from. I've had very good results with Tarot of The Abyss by Ana Tourian, The Fairy Tale Tarot by Lisa Hunt, and Shadowscapes Tarot by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law. My more recent favorites have been Tarot of the Witch's Garden by Sasha Graham and Natasa Ilincic and Mystical Realm Tarot by Lisa Porter. But any scenic deck that inspires your imagination will work!
