What we're about

The Greater Vancouver Woodturners Guild (GVWG) is one of the Pacific Northwest's largest woodworking groups focusing on teaching the art and skills of woodturning. It's members range from world famous turners to young men and women just starting to learn about woodturning. Since our focus is on furthering the skills of woodturning it is an excellent venue for woodworkers of all types to learn and work with others with similar interests. During normal times, our meetings include classes on beginning turning, demonstrations on advanced methods by local and international teachers, discussions on techniques, art and form and displays of current member work. During the present Covid 19 constraints we meet monthly via zoom. Each meeting features an interactive presentation on a topic relating to woodturning presented by local and international experts in their fields.

If you are interested in learning more about woodturning you are invited to join in one of our meetings and presentations. Just send an email to: president@gvwg.ca who will send you an invitation. The first meeting is free. By becoming a member of the Guild you will then be able to join in on all of our meetings and presentations. For more details on our Guild, upcoming events and how to join please visit our website at GVWG.ca.
