Join the Portage Park volunteers, Ancient Forest Alliance, and View Royal Parks staff for a fun-filled day of planting native trees and shrubs, and working to restore the beautiful Portage Park in View Royal!

This event is on rain or shine!

Meeting Spot

We will meet in the lower parking lot behind View Royal Town Hall (45 View Royal Rd). Parking is available in the lower and upper lot around Town Hall.

Activities

- Meet at 9:45am for sign-in and introductions (please be on time!)

- Walk to site (follow the arrows if you are late)

- Plant native trees and shrubs.

What to bring

- Refillable water bottle

- Dress for the weather. Rain jacket/pants if it rains, sunscreen and a hat in case it is sunny

- Long-sleeved shirt and long pants to protect you from thorny plants and ticks

- Clothing you don't mind getting dirty

- Sturdy, comfortable closed-toe shoes/boots.

We will provide

- Gardening gloves if you don't have them

- Tools

- Instructions on what to do. You don't need to have experience to participate!

- A fun experience in a beautiful park!
