Speakers Needed for Green Academy Symposium

Details
The Green Academy Program at Woodside High School [http://www.woodsidehs.org/Academics/Green-Academy/index.html] is planning a symposium for the sophomore class and is looking for professionals who can talk about their jobs and how they address environmental issues. Students in the Green Academy are inspired both in and outside the traditional classroom to become stewards of the environment, community leaders, and innovators in the field of green technology. The students interests are widespread from landscape architect and interior design to environmental advocacy and engineering. Two sessions are planned:
Session 1: Career Round Tables 9:35-10:30 Professionals will speak in a small group format about their career, educational background, give a brief job description and offer the pros & cons of their field. Students will have 15 minutes with each professional and then rotate to the next. The academy is looking for a professional who can fill one of the speaker positions.
Session 2: Hot Topics 11-11:45 Professionals will each speak on a different hot topic related to the environment or how your industry is addressing environmental issues that arise. This will be two rotations of 20 minutes each, in which a professional can introduce the issue, provide a bit of background information, and discuss solutions. For example: LEED certification. The academy is looking for professionals who can speak on industry topics.
If you are an innovator in green technology, a professional improving the environment, or a community leader, this program gives you an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in a teenager's life.
