This fast-paced and advanced level workshop will focus on the application of federal and state laws and regulations covering Public and Private Non-transient Multi-Family Housing Developments. Participants will explore the codes and discuss client relationships, common mistakes during the design and construction, construction documentation techniques including dimensional tolerances, and remedies to achieve accessible and adaptable dwelling unit design in both existing and new construction. The focus will be on accessible kitchens and bathrooms, doors and accessible routes, closets and storage, washers/dyers and other appliances and furnishings. There will be plenty of time to ask questions, with learning skills focused on building blocks vignettes and sharing of practical knowledge.
