Reducing the environmental impact of websites

Details

Green Tech South West welcomes two local developers, Nick Lewis and Dryden Williams, to talk about the environmental impact of websites, and the tools they've created to support others in understanding and reducing the impact of their own sites.

What makes a sustainable website - lightning talk

Nick Lewis

In his talk, Nick will cover:

  • A brief introduction into what makes a website sustainable
  • Why considering how green your website is matters
  • The basics of what can be done to start making a website green

About Nick
Nick is a Creative Technologist at Fiasco Design (UK) and the creator of the-sustainable.dev. He also runs an outdoor adventure blog with his partner, called Mountain and Co. When not writing code or blog posts, he's outside - getting his fix of fresh air and open landscapes.

  • How this is not only good for the planet but good for business too
  • Ways you can use EcoPing to make a difference
