*****
Transitions Film Festival (TFF) presents documentaries exploring a broad range of fascinating themes and perspectives. GreenUps is proud to co-host the TTF screening of SuperSapiens (2017) and facilitate a post-screening panel discussion exploring the film's major themes.
The premise of this two-part documentary is that humanity faces a turning point – the next stage in the evolution of the human brain – and it’s being driven by machines. It investigates the phenomenon of augmented and artificial intelligence, introduces the major players and asks: what are the real-world consequences of a super brain? In the process we meet young, innovative thinkers who are using technology to unlock our own in-born mind-abilities.
The film is equal parts inspiring vision and cautionary tale – and interviews the who’s who of thinkers and doers in the field of AI – including; Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, Nick Bostrom, Hugo De Garis and Ben Goertzel.
