Second Life ReMix: Eco-Crafting Lab & Competition

Details
Join us on January 25th from 6:00 pm-11 pm for an eco-crafting competition. NYC creatives will divide into teams in an Iron Chef-style competition of up-cycling. Competitors will have to be resourceful as they design, craft, and build with used or discarded materials provided by
Material for the Arts (http://www.mfta.org/).
Spectators will observe teams and will be encouraged to contribute feedback as the evening takes shape. Eco-crafters, guests, and friends are invited to enjoy live music and innovative works. This isn’t your typical DIY event.
The competition will wrap-up with comments and judging by Jeff Maki (Open Plans) and Eva Radke (Film Biz Recycling).
GREENSPACENYC (http://greenspacenyc.org/) develops, hosts, and curates participatory events, classes, and workshops about sustainability that run the gamut from art-making & sustainable architecture to food studies & urban agriculture.GreenspaceNYC is fiscally sponsored by Fractured Atlas (http://www.fracturedatlas.org/), giving it its status as a 501(c)(3) and receives material sponsorship from Material for the Arts (http://www.mfta.org/) (NYC Office of Cultural Affairs). Additional sponsors include Brooklyn Brewery, Sustainable NYC, and the American Folk Art Museum.
To sponsor the event, join an eco-crafting team, or be in touch email us at info@greenspacenyc.org .
