What we're about

Welcome to Meridian Speakers!

Meridian Speakers is a fun, friendly public speaking club based in Greenwich. It's more than speaking. Grow through Leadership, Listening, Learning as well as Communication Skills - both vocal and visual.

We meet twice a month - every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month - to practice and develop our public speaking skills. Meridian Speakers is affiliated to Toastmasters International (http://www.toastmasters.org/), a non-profit organisation with over 12,500 clubs worldwide.

Why join a public speaking club?

There are lots of good reasons to join a club like Meridian Speakers, but here are a few of the most popular:

• overcome a fear of public speaking

• build confidence when presenting to an audience

• prepare for a specific event such as a wedding speech or an important presentation

• develop effective communication and leadership skills that are valuable in many areas of life

It’s also a great way to meet new and interesting people – we’re a pretty sociable bunch!

How do I find out more?

The best way to find out if Meridian Speakers is right for you is to come along to one of our meetings.

Our meetings are held in the stunning meeting room upstairs at Trafalgar Rowing Club in Greenwich, 5 min walk from Cutty Sark DLR station - 11-13 Crane Street, Greenwhich, London, SE10 9NP. Thames views included! Meetings usually finish at or soon after 9:00pm.

Guests are always very welcome and chances are you won’t be the only new face!
