The card for the month is : Justice
“Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.” Joseph Campbell
The Tarot is a tool for introspection, to explore greater depths of meaning in our world through the language of myths and symbols. The Fool’s Journey in the tarot maps our own journey in life moving through lessons and experiences in a spiral that returns us back to the beginning to find ourselves again and again.
This is a meetup for people actively practicing and learning about the tarot to explore, share information and practice their reading skills. We will meet once a month to develop our intuitive reading skills through the use of visualization and reading techniques, exploring the ways we each use tarot, and sharing knowledge. The emphasis is on exploring and expanding knowledge via experiential learning rather than direct teaching.
Our meetup will begin with a meditation or centering exercise to connect us with the creative and intuitive aspects of our psyche. We will have time for people to share resources they find helpful (books, podcasts, local events). Each month we will choose a card for exploration and discussion during the meetup (listed at the top of each meetup). Finally, we will have open time for people to practice readings on their own or with others.
The Meetup will take place in a private residence (address given mid-week prior to meetup to those who RSVP) and we can accommodate 10 people max. If you need to cancel please make sure to change your RSVP on the Meetup page to keep the space open for someone else.
Meetup info and guidelines:
*This is not a class on how to use the tarot. Newbies are welcome to come and explore and ask questions but the organizers will not be teaching how to use the cards.
*This is not a place to get a free tarot reading. Although you may be offered opinion and insight from another meetup participant the goal of the meetup is to deepen your own knowledge of the tarot and to share with others.
*Participants should always get express verbal permission prior to offering any insight on another participant’s card pull. Every participant reserves the right to decline input from the group on personal card pulls as they see fit.
*We ask that participants do not use the meetup as a place to solicit for new clients or business opportunities. We want to foster a comfortable and non-pressure environment. Absolutely feel free to share your events with the group but please show up to participate.
