Special Saturday Volunteer Day at Frasier Dam for National Public Lands Day!
Join Groundwork Dallas for a special event at Frasier Dam Recreation Area. Saturday, September 22 is National Public Lands Day! Help us work on this future recreation area. Find out more about NPLD at We’ll be doing environmental restoration along the Elm Fork of the Trinity River and the surrounding forest by removing trash and debris. We may also perform trail maintenance including pruning, removing cut branches and debris, and clearing undergrowth. Event Meeting Location: Copy and paste the link below into Google Maps for directions. **The Yellow Feather Flags That Say ‘Parking’ Mark Where To Park** **The Yellow Banners That Say ‘Project Clean Up’ Mark The Job Site** • What to wear: Due to the nature of the work, volunteers must wear closed toe shoes or boots, pants (yoga pants and leggings not recommended), socks that come up to the calves (no ankle socks), and long sleeve shirts (preferred). • Other personal items to bring: Water bottle(s), sunscreen, bug repellent, sunglasses, and snacks • All event materials such as gloves, tools, and trash bags will be provided by Groundwork Dallas. We will also provide water coolers and additional safety and first aid materials. All volunteers must sign a waiver upon arrival.

A healthy urban forest is essential for maintaining the quality of air and water in the Dallas metroplex.
