December 5 Meeting at East Dean - BREXIT and Political Lies

The topics for our next meeting are 1) BREXIT and 2) Political Lies: how they are damaging our democracy and what can be done to counteract this.

I hope members can, ideally, bring paper copies of things they have read on these topics and provide oral precis(es) for us. The articles don't need to be restricted to the Guardian. On request, at the end of the meeting, I will scan articles and email them to members.

If you intend to come please enter your name on the Meetup website so I can judge numbers. Please do this as early as you can; this should encourage new members to attend.

Let's meet at The Tiger Inn in East Dean. I've booked Table 1 which you reach by walking past the bar on your left into the adjacent little room. Table 1 will be on your left before you reach the toilets. Megan and I will be eating there from about 1930/1945 so come then if you wish.

The Tiger Inn can be reached by car or bus. By car, drive into East Dean on the A259 and take the Birling Gap road towards the sea. The road is very near the East Dean bus stops for either direction. If walking a torch is advisable. Travel down the Birling Gap Road for about 2 to 3 hundred yards and go into the village hall car park on your right (free parking). Travel to the end until you emerge onto the village green. The Tiger Inn will be on your right with the main entrance half way down the building.
