What we're about
Guardian Tactical and Practical Shooting (G-TAPS) Meetup was created to develop general marksmanship skills and to improve tactical and practical shooting abilities in a safe, fun and friendly setting. Everyone with an interest in safe and proper firearms handling is welcome - from absolute beginners to experienced shootists. We commit ourselves to sharing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for responsibly owning and using firearms in a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment. G-TAPS members are here to meet others, share ideas and help each other gain practical knowledge and valuable experience using our firearms. For those who do not own firearms and would like to test the waters, this is the group to join!
G-TAPS holds monthly (or more often, if folks are interested) training clinics, live fire sessions, competitions, social gatherings and other special events at our private training facility and range. G-TAPS also offers enthusiasts the following educational and skill development opportunities: Wisconsin Concealed Carry License classes; defensive pistol, rifle and shotgun; personalized one-on-one training clinics; less-than-lethal pepper spray or Taser® training; women’s only sessions; self defense/combatives; crime prevention workshops and CPR/First Aid certification courses.
G-TAPS Meetup is free to join. Individual Meetups may have a fee, ranging from $10/hour for basic range time to $95 for a one-day class. Any applicable fees or necessary supplies will be noted in the Meetup announcement. Payment in the form of cash, check or online payment will be collected at the event prior to participation. G-TAPS was founded by Curt La Haise and Guardian Safety & Security Solutions, LLC of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. For more information about Guardian Safety & Security Solutions training and services, please visit www.guardianonline.co. As an affiliated Meetup group of Guardian Safety & Security Solutions, LLC, G-TAPS requests that other firearm instructors and/or firearms training academies refrain from soliciting G-TAPS members for their courses or firearms-related business.
