Meeting at Denbies for 10am

A 17 Mile Circular walk, mostly following the Greensand Way and North Downs Way through the Surrey Hills, takes in the “Surrey Peaks” of Holmbury Hill, Pitch Hill, back to Denbies

WALK DETAILS

We might not have any actual mountains in our area, but this walk takes in three of the best known summits in Surrey, for a total ascent of approximately 700m! of 17 Miles

Starting from Denbies we make our way south across valley to Leith Hill , then onto Holmbury Hill , (261m), home to an Iron Age hill fort. From here we follow the Greensand Way to Pitch Hill , and then follow our way back via Peaslake where we stop for a drink and then continue on back across valley Back Denbies

there are possible refreshment stops at Peaslake , leith Hill .

Please be aware that this is quite hilly walk, and we'll need to maintain a reasonable pace sturdy walking boots are strongly recommended, and please be prepared for any change in the weather.
