This Meetup group is private.
Shooters Along the Front Range (SAFR) is a group of like-minded, Second Amendment supporting individuals, who practice the marshal art of firearms.
We gather at local gun ranges on a regular basis, to practice our martial art of choice, firearms. We feature training, practice, safety education, trips to tradeshows, among other gun enthusiast activities.
We support pro-gun efforts in our society and in our local, state, and federal government.
Our goal is to become an expert with our chosen weapon(s), create a network of like-minded, law abiding gun owners, and ready ourselves for any likely situation that might arise.
To participate, you must not be on probation from SAFR.
To participate, you must not be expelled from SAFR.
We are open to new and experienced shooters alike.
All members of SAFR are required to know the ‘four safety rules for firearms’ plus one.*
All members of SAFR are required to follow the direction of group range officers, as well as the range officers assigned by the venue.
Members can be expelled or put on probation by a committee of range officers for safety offenses.
Although we encourage camaraderie and host social events, this is a hands-on group, focused on shooting sports.
SAFR is not a militia.
Participants are expected to be drug and alcohol free at range events.
Our private group is tied to Littleton Emergency Preparedness: http://www.meetup.com/SouthMetro/
This mission statement is subject to change.
* Never try to catch a falling gun. (Saw this one at a local gun range and it made a lot of sense. Then saw someone drop their revolver and try to catch it. Made even more sense.)
=> Even though this group is private, Meetup still lists the title of our events in a place where the public can see them, as well as the date and time of the event, and member headcount.
Meetup does not show any of the other content about the event. Unfortunately, the title usually has the location of the event. Organizers of this group will not use the title anymore, as long as Meetup has this policy is in place.
New members must be approved by the Organizer
