    What we're about

We welcome you to the Gwinnett Group of the Sierra Club. You have chosen to support sensible environmental policies at the national, state and local level. Within the Sierra Club you will find many ways to explore, enjoy and protect the environment. In Gwinnett, our monthly meetings have programs that include discussions on gardening, alternative energy, the Chattahoochee River, transit, and a many other topics. Our Stream Monitoring program monitors the chemical and biological health of Gwinnet waterways. Our members are involved with the political aspects of environmental issues, with transit, solar and wind energy and, of course, our Outings program which conducts hikes from the very easy to overnight camping trips.
