Time for our second instalment of the Let's dApp series!
At this meetup, we'll be learning all about decentralized marketplaces and how to use cryptocurrency wallets to purchase goods from around the world. Origin allows buyers and sellers to connect and transact directly without intermediaries. The company is building a blockchain platform that enables the creation of many decentralized marketplaces with a mission to reduce or remove transaction fees, promote open and transparent commerce, redistribute value more fairly to buyers and sellers, and empower the 2 billion currently unbanked individuals around the world to participate in the digital economy.
After a brief introduction to their project and the capabilities of their platform, the team will guide us through a live demo of their dApp!
What you'll need to participate:
- a mobile phone with internet access (free wifi available at the event space)
- an existing wallet if you wish to port it into the dApp - otherwise we will create a new wallet in the application
- no need to have any existing crypto - Origin has kindly offered to cover the fees and provide a special product to participants of our meetup during the walkthrough!
