This group is for beginner 4x4 enthusiast looking to explore the back roads of Colorado. We will explore "Moderate" 4x4 trails in the spring and summer and trek through snow covered "Easy Passes" in the Winter & Fall months. This group is for anyone that would like to see what their STOCK SUV can do. WE ARE NOT ROCK CRAWLERS but we are a great bunch of people just looking to get out and explore the back roads of Colorado.
*PLEASE DON'T JOIN THIS GROUP IF YOU HAVE A MODIFIED RIG WITH 35"+TIRES, 3"+LIFT, HAVE MORE THAN 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE.
We are all about getting dirty, getting stuck, getting wet, climbing 30 degree inclines and helping each other overcome obstacles we would not venture to attempt on our own. We are about building a friendship built on mutual admiration for the outdoors, meeting challenges as a group and conquering trails the majority of Coloradans don't get the chance to see.
Most of our treks start at 9 am and end around 7 pm. Each leg of the day is optional and if your time is limited we understand if you have to depart before the trek is officially over. We typically go out to dinner after each trek and get to know each other but once again this is optional for everyone that has time.
Because we do more than any other 4x4 group, by way of photographs, videos, group logo decals, t-shirts and cups we do ask for a donation of $20 for a rolling 12 month calendar year. This donation will not be asked of you, it's up to you to provided it to the organizer if you wish to donate. You will receive a group logo decal, video, candy, vehicle tag, roster, trek description and maps on each outing so you are confident in what we will be doing that day.
New members please apply for membership/sponsorship by emailing the organizer and letting him know how you heard about our group, tell us if you know any of our members and what your looking for in a 4x4 group. This is a mature family oriented group with no drinking, no smoking, no 420 and no cursing on the radio please. We do have small kids that ride along and we simply wish to have an enjoyable time in the high country. A CB radio in your rig is highly encouraged so you may participate in the banter along the trail and feel as part of the group and not be isolated in your rig.
