H.E.A.T. is a social, recreation and fitness group, organized to facilitate opportunities to turn up your level of fitness through "Hiking Every Available Trail" in the Bay. We welcome those of all fitness levels. Our only requirement for participation is that you bring a positive attitude, an abundance of energy and a warm smile to inspire and encourage those you meet on the trails. In return, H.E.A.T. will coordinate challenging weekly group hikes, sure to fire up your muscles and metabolism, while distracting your mind with the beauty of the Bay trails and the company of interesting new friends.
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I have some spots left so I'm copying the details from our Facebook page.
Our first out of state trip was a success and it's time to keep the ball rolling. Areas book up sooner than later so I'm getting this one taken care of.
Portland will be a little easier with the logistics since we're not traveling to two states. A number of people said they were interested when I announced the dates a few weeks ago but once they find out the trips aren't free, that interest dwindles, lol.
The cost of this trip will be your plane ticket, van rental split ($25-$35) and gas ($20-$40), and your lodging split of the Airbnb ($81.49). Only the lodging cost is currently due.
PayPal, Venmo or Cash App
As always, since the cost of these trips are split between everyone, refunds are only given if there's someone to take your spot.
When I know who all is coming, I'll create a messenger thread and we can discuss the itinerary in detail and which trail (s) we'll be exploring. There are a number of trails along the Columbia Gorge with waterfalls all over, so we'll prob. visit 15 or more over the weekend. All of the trails being on the lower side of moderate.
If you have any questions that have NOT been answered, please feel free to ask away. #HEATUP #hikingEVERYavailabletrail

Since the Grand Canyon is extremely popular, plenty of spots are already booked.
There are a few spots left in Grand Canyon Village but they are pricey. Flagstaff which we would be flying into anyways has some spots left so the plan is to stay in Flagstaff. Visit Sedona on Friday and then hike South Rim on Saturday. Please please PLEASE, only click going if you will be staying with us and paying by next Friday 9/21. If you're getting your own lodging and transportation, please just click interested. Once I have the number coming, I'll have the exact price for you before the end of the week ($142.35 for lodging). If you have any questions, please let me know. #HikingEVERYAvailableTrail #HEATUP
