July 2018 HER+Data Meetup

For our July event we have organized something a little different. In line with prior events we'll have more amazing women who work with data to share their inspiring career stories with us including talks from female engineers working on data products, to data scientists passionate about analytics research. We'll also have Groupon's CTO - Colin Bodell

• give a short talk. Colin is a big supporter of women in tech and on advancing gender diversity in the workplace.

So come along, ask questions, get inspired and meet other amazing women who love data!

Colin Bodell, CTO @ Groupon (Bio to follow)

Catarina Oliveira, Software Development Engineering @ Groupon. She works on the marketing services team to improve marketing campaigns across multiple channels. She developed a service that tracks in real time the performance of the deals using technologies such as Storm, Kafka and Cassandra. She is also working on a service that lets the user create custom clusters of deals and track the quality of the inventory available for each cluster defined to archive this she used Spark and Hive.
