[ONLINE]: Meet Amazing Women in Data Oct 2022

Details

We're back with another virtual HER+Data meetup of 2022 - a lunch time affair on Thursday October 27th @12:30pm IST/GMT. We'll have talks from 2 amazing women who work with data! Join, ask questions and meet other women who love data.

Speakers:
Elisabeth Rotrou, Head of Research & Insights, Spendesk
Elisabeth stepped into Product Management early on in her career. The various Product roles she held at Criteo, Credit Suisse, Yellow Pages and a couple of startups exposed her to most angles of the discipline. The one thing that never changed throughout the years was the central role data played in her decision making process. At Spendesk, which she joined in 2019 as Head of Product, Elisabeth recognized the growing need for the organization to up-level decision making with broader and more reliable access to insights to inform product and growth strategies. She therefore created a team of pluridisciplinary researchers dedicated to expanding, growing and distributing market and user knowledge throughout the company and beyond.

Elisabeth is going talk about the rationale and journey for creating the Research & Insights group at Spendesk, and challenges / learnings so far.

Jo Niec, Senior Data Scientist, Intercom
Jo is a Senior Data Scientist on the Research, Analytics & Data Science (RAD) team in Intercom where she's been based for nearly 5 years. Jo partners with teams across R&D and Sales to shape strategic decisions and ensure our customers are using our products and realising value. Prior to Intercom Jo worked in Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics and Economic and Social Research Institute. Jo has a Masters in Sociology from the University of Wroclaw. After arriving in Dublin she pursued her interest in data and completed a course in data analytics at the National College of Ireland and applied statistics at TUDublin. Jo leads @RLadiesDublin, the Dublin chapter of the global R-Ladies community who are on a mission to make R loved and used by more people, especially women and gender minorities.

Jo is going to talk about user research in a data project.
