Join others to celebrate HG Awareness Day the week of May 15th. Set up a meeting in your area so others can join you! (You can do it anytime in May.) Some hold a 5k, do a fundraiser, or simply meet at a park and enjoy a playdate with their kids. It's up to you. Join one, promote one on social media, or lead one. Be part of #TeamHER!
The goals are increasing awareness and building community.
If you are unfamiliar with HG and the HER Foundation (http://www.helpher.org), let us introduce you. HER stands for Hyperemesis Gravidarum Education & Research Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit since 2003. We are the leading organization worldwide for education, advocacy, research and support of those managing or recovering from HG.
What is HG?
HG is essentially severe pregnancy sickness that can cause serious complications for mom and baby.
Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) is a debilitating and potentially life-threatening pregnancy disease marked by rapid weight loss, malnutrition, and dehydration due to unrelenting nausea and/or vomiting with potential adverse consequences for the mom-to-be and the newborn(s).
