I'm creating this meetup to get more exposure for People Analytics on the East Coast. The field is currently prevalent out on the West Coast-- with the majority of networking events and conferences held out in CA. So many fascinating companies that are applying analytics to organizational behavior and development are HQ'ed out there. Would love to see the field gain some traction in the DC area.
Looking to learn more about, and discuss things like;
Assessing hiring, internal mobility and career development, attrition, organizational network analysis, employee engagement, etc. What are we currently measuring and what are we prioritizing?
Are we using big data (and how are we structuring it), conducting fieldwork, administering experiments, etc.?
Contextualizing for biases, expectations, interdependence, etc.
What software/visualization programs are we using? -- Excel, MySQL, R ? -- Tableau, Glint, CultureAmp ? -- Survival models, selection correction tools ?
How do data analyses translate into HR management policies?
