We are excited to bring a "learning" session to our community. We will be joined by Alex Velez, a data storyteller with storytellingwithdata.com

Even well-intentioned graphs and slides can fall short, making key insights harder to grasp than they should be. In this session, we'll talk about recognizing and rectifying five types of mistakes commonly seen in data communications. Through this lens, you'll learn both how to strengthen your own data visualizations and how to provide sharper, more actionable feedback on others’ work. Whether you're designing reports, refining presentations, or reviewing a colleague’s charts, you'll leave with practical strategies to make every visual clearer, more effective, and easier to interpret.
