What we're about

This is a Meet-up group for those who identify as a Highly Sensitive Person / HSP.

This group gives HSPs the opportunity to feel more connected, by bringing together others who experience the world as we do. In doing this, we hope our HSP community can help you to realise how great our gifts really are.

In the book "The Highly Sensitive Person" Dr. Elaine Aron defines a distinct personality trait that she claims is inherited by 15-20% of the population. The HSP has a sensitive nervous system, is aware of subtleties throughout their experience, and is more easily overwhelmed when in a highly stimulating environment. Your sight, hearing, touch, and sense of smell are not necessarily keener, but your brain processes information and reflects on it more deeply.

If you would like to take the self test, you can go to the below link:

Our Meet-ups often consist of:
- Brunch / lunch / afternoon tea
- Nature walks
- Meditation sessions
- Therapeutic workshops
- Art classes
- Enjoying music / museums / galleries / plays
- Historical walks and lectures
- Cultural pursuits

We also have a Facebook Page a place where we can share experiences, thoughts, and opinions regarding our rich inner lives: "Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) Melbourne"

Thank you, and welcome dearest HSPs
