HUI Central welcomes Robin Alter, VP of Strategic Partnerships at Ultrahaptics. The company, founded in the UK, now also in Palo Alto CA utilizes ultrasound vibrations to bring midair touch to digital worlds - with NO WIRES OR GLOVES!

Touch is essential for VR and AR experiences to feel real and respond intuitively to users’ interactions. Haptics allow users to feel immersed in activities, feel in control of actions and feel connected to the virtual environment and social interactions they enable.

Ultrahaptics uses ultrasound to create tactile sensations IN MIDAIR with no gloves or attachments. The feeling is projected onto bare skin via sound waves, delivering haptic sensations, such as touching buttons, switches, shapes and textures, to bring the experience of touch to AR and VR, empowering users to touch the digital world.

Attendees will hear about the technology and have the opportunity to experience it for themselves!

Robin Alter is the VP of Strategic Partnerships at Ultrahaptics. He focuses on growth by building strategic partnerships with companies to enhance user experiences across environments such as AR, VR, room-scale exhibitions, and IoT/Consumer Electronics, in industries ranging from education and enterprise to entertainment.

Robin has built multiple, venture-funded startups in gaming, sharing, and e-commerce. He has also been a Management Consultant to telecommunications and technology enterprises across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Robin is particularly passionate about building products and companies around new technologies in haptics, VR and neuroscience in health and education, to improve our skills, capabilities, and longevity. Robin also mentors startups in Silicon Valley and Asia.
