Join the Hack South community on Discord via the Hack South Discord server.
Once you've joined, navigate to the HTB Meetup category on the left-hand side. You will find the following channels:

• meetup-main – Announcements and event information
• meetup-social – General discussion and networking
• Meetup VC – Voice channel for the live meetup

### What Can I Expect?

This is a collaborative, community-driven event. The organiser, Aaron Van Den Berg (th3cha1rman), will facilitate the session and guide participants through the target machine while encouraging discussion, knowledge sharing, and community input. The goal is for everyone to learn, contribute, and solve the challenge together.

### New to Cybersecurity?

Everyone starts somewhere. Whether you're completely new to penetration testing or looking to build your skills, you're welcome to join. Our meetup provides a friendly and supportive environment where members can learn from one another, gain hands-on experience, and accelerate their journey into cybersecurity.

### What Do I Need?

Just a computer and an internet connection.
If you haven't already done so, create a free account on Hack The Box before the event so you're ready to participate.

### Required Software

Any required tools will be discussed during the meetup, and assistance will be provided where needed.
Aaron Van Den Berg (th3cha1rman) will be available on Discord from 17:00 to assist attendees with environment setup, virtual machines, and any technical questions before the session begins.

### Virtual Machine Setup

To get the most out of the meetup, we recommend setting up your Kali Linux or Parrot OS virtual machine beforehand.
