Electronics Wearables Workshop

Brittany will be teaching an electronics wearables workshop using the Lilypad LilyTwinkle ProtoSnap kit!

This is her second time teaching the workshop, and I must say the first one was stupendous.

The workshop fee gets you the kit and hands-on instruction to make the kit go.

Brittany will also present some of her own projects, show us some wearables tech, and talk a little bit about the culture of wearables and where it might be going.

Attendees will be supplied the LilyPad Kit for price of admission, but should also bring a cloth bag, hat, or non-stretchy article of clothing, and an embroidery hoop if possible.

Both blank fabric items and embroidery hoops can be found at Michael's pretty inexpensively.(we have some extra hoops if needed, but definately bring the thing you want to sew on.)

Special Snowflakes can also bring other Wearables platforms, such as the Gemma, Flora, Lilypad, LilyTiny, etc.

This was a great workshop. Brittany had a wealth of practical knowledge to impart and an impressive collection of demo pieces to provide inspiration. Because of my lack of practice sewing it took my LilyTwinkle sampler didn't get finished until later while watching TV with a friend. As a result I am inspired to tackle a wearable project that has been on my mind for a while.

Huge thanks to Brittany for traveling from NoVa and to Aaron for setting it up.

I agree completely! I loved seeing all of Brittany's sample projects - I see a headband in my future.

Yes. It was a fun time. I'll probably finish my bag this weekend. Thanks to everyone!
