HackerNest Hong Kong Tech Socials
Bring the Tech Socials to your city. HackerNest is powered by volunteer city organizers passionate about tech and the community. Is this you? Please get in touch (http://hackernest.com/volunteer/) if you or someone you know is interested. Join a growing global movement by working with our team to produce great events that make the local tech scene stronger and more supportive. ---- HackerNest Tech Socials (http://hackernest.com/cities/) are a fun, relaxed way to connect with your local tech community. Atmosphere: chill, friendly, unpretentious, agenda-free (no sales pitch, yo), and brimming with UltraSmart(TM) people. We believe that strong, supportive tech communities should exist everywhere - not just in hotspots like San Francisco and New York. In 2011, we started running Tech Socials in Toronto (http://meetup.com/hackernest), where our monthly attendance grew to over 350+ technologists literally 100% from word-of-mouth. The typical Tech Social schedule: - 8:00pm: folks arrive, grab drinks, socialize - 9:00pm: quick intro, thank sponsors, quick announcements - 9:10pm: back to chatting with interesting new friends - 11:30pm: go home exhausted from great conversations Sponsors (http://hackernest.com/sponsor_info/) make this growing movement possible - email us ([masked]) to chat! ><> FISHACKATHON, February 10-11, 2018 <>< Fishackathon registration is open! TECH SOCIALS are exactly what they sound like; home to both seasoned and fledgling technologists alike. They are down-to-earth, agenda-free community events where talented, enthusiastic tech nerds gather to socialize, wax technological, and meet future co-founders, employees, funders, and friends.

Our HACKATHONS rally experts and technologists to put their skills towards socially-beneficial causes. We partner with the U.S. Department of State on Fishackathon which runs in dozens of cities worldwide; with Facebook and the UK/Canadian governments on DementiaHack - the world’s foremost hackathon dedicated to dementia and Alzheimer’s, and many others. We also provide CONSULTING SERVICES to governments and corporations that draw from our unique experiences in producing blockbuster internal and external innovation events.

HackerNest MEMBERS are diverse, highly skilled, and passionate about their industry. Developers, designers, engineers, business/marketing/sales-types, entrepreneurs, investors, and others regularly attend and participate in our universally-acclaimed events and communities.

SPONSORS power our movement. They include the likes of the Canadian, UK, and U.S. governments, Facebook, Amazon, Airbnb, Microsoft, RBC, and many other stellar brands. Interested? Please email sponsor@hackernest.com
