Arduino Class - Wireless Connectivity with BlueTooth

Details
Come join us at TheLab.ms Education Center in Plano TX to learn about the Arduino. In this class we will be covering the following:
Wireless connectivity with Bluetooth, Part 1 (http://bit.ly/2gqcGRZ) (12:30) In this presentation, you will learn how to use a Bluetooth breakout board to create a wireless serial connection between your computer and your Arduino. With this connection, your Arduino will be able to send and receive data to and from your computer.
In this part I discuss some basic concepts around Bluetooth, and compare with other wireless technologies, then in demo 1, I demonstrate how to connect the breakout board with the Arduino and establish a serial channel.
Wireless connectivity with Bluetooth, Part 2 (http://bit.ly/2gn6ANd) (9:50) In the second part there are 2 demos. In the first demo, I show how to do 2-way communication, and in the second demo I how to use software serial (instead of hardware serial as in demos 1 and 2). Parts Needed:
Arduino UNO (http://amzn.to/2guHM9Z) An LED (http://amzn.to/2g07eDj) A photo-resistor (http://amzn.to/2hdvyTb) 2 x 1KΩ resistors (http://amzn.to/2hdvQJP) HC-06 Blue Tooth (http://amzn.to/2h2d60E)
Course work for this class comes from Arduino Step By Step (http://goo.gl/5Uv71ft) which has over 20 hours of content in 110 lectures. These classes are designed for anyone interested in learning electronic design and C programming. No experience is required. Access to the course material is free at our meetups. If you wish to access the material outside the meetup see our coupons page to get a discount from our sponsor (http://www.hackerspacetech.com/pages/coupons.html).
