Hacking Health Waterloo is working to improve healthcare by connecting technology creators and healthcare professionals in Waterloo Region to collaborate on realistic, human-centric solutions to front-line problems. We host monthly Hacking Health Cafes and health-related Hackathons.
Hacking Health Cafes are monthly events held across various cities to bring together the digital health community. It provides for a casual environment where researchers, clinicians, patients, designers, developers, and entrepreneurs can share their experiences, network and learn about the industry.
The goal is to foster relationships between healthcare experts and the technology talent in Waterloo Region. The idea is simple: hackers love to solve problems and the healthcare industry has plenty to go around.
Communitech’s Peer2Peer Network helps professionals in the Waterloo Region tech industry share challenges and lessons-learned in a friendly, informal environment. Peer2Peer groups provide an opportunity for individuals in similar roles, specialties or functions to exchange advice and best-practices information. Communitech is a not-for-profit organization aimed at helping tech companies start, grow & succeed.
