Voter Power: election hackday with Bureau Local

Details

The Bureau of Investigative Journalism's Bureau Local team are building a detailed database on voters by constituency (http://mailchi.mp/tbij/hack-ge2017-on-wed-may-31?e=7bc6401992). From education, to ethnicity, to age, to those registered and not - it will be the first of its kind used in the journalism scene.

On Wednesday May 31 four simultaneous events will take place across the UK to find out who has the power to determine the result in their constituency and what we know about them.

We'll be helping people in the West Midlands to dig into this exclusive dataset - and make things with it - with all stories and interactives to go live on June 6. The day will be taking place in room P105 on the first floor of the Parkside building, next to Millennium Point. Please sign up in advance so we can generate wifi codes and reception.

If you’d like to get access to the data on your constituencies and collaborate on stories (even if you can't come), fill out this form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf_X5onuU1ZhbS4GEtZtFwwiJAvebGm_p0B1Z6L6LaDUb5QDQ/viewform).
