Lightning talks

Lightning talks

Details

We've got an awesome lineup for a meetup at the Post this month! If you're not familiar with lightning talks, they're short, punchy, 5-minute spiels on a subject of the speaker's choosing. Check out these ones from last year's NICAR conference (http://vimeo.com/irenicar/videos/sort:duration/format:thumbnail). We'll get to hear about some new projects and ideas, and there'll be a Q&A with the audience at the end.

Our lightning talkers are:

Derek Willis (https://twitter.com/derekwillis), New York Times interactive developer
Michelle Minkoff (https://twitter.com/michelleminkoff), AP interactive producer
Derek Lieu (https://twitter.com/dereklieu), DevelopmentSeed developer
Steven Rich (https://twitter.com/dataeditor), Washington Post database editor
Jeremy Bowers (https://twitter.com/jeremybowers), NPR apps developer

Talks will begin at 6:30 sharp and end by 7:30. But afterward, come hang out at PostScript (http://www.loewshotels.com/en/Madison-Hotel/dining/restaurants), across the street at 15th and M.
