From traditional investigative reporters to infographic designers or interactive developers, all evolving fields of journalism can learn from these new visual story telling techniques. In this talk Alberto Cairo will give insights into his own inspiring work and give an overview of where visual journalism is heading in the future.

Alberto Cairo has two decades of experience working as an infographics and data visualisation journalist and designer. He has lead data visualisation teams in Spain, Brasil and the United States. Today he is the Knight Chair in Visual Journalism at the School of Communication of the University of Miami and a regular speaking on visual and data journalism all over the world.
