Location-based storytelling

Details

We hope you've had a relaxing summer and are ready to join us again to discuss the many ways journalism and technology are coming together here in Manchester.

We already have one fantastic guest speaker confirmed.

Stuart Goulden - OtherWorld (https://www.otherworld.io). This is a news experiment being piloted here in Manchester. It uses beacon technology to create location-based storytelling experiences, helping people to explore the world around them. Perhaps you've already experienced it around the city?

There'll also be plenty of time to chat with other members and to discuss what we'd like from future HHMcr meet-ups.

We're grateful to Federation House (http://www.thefederation.coop) for letting us use their space for this meet-up. Doors will be open from about 6.30. You will need to bring PHOTO ID because of increased security on the door of Federation House following recent events.

UPDATE

Federation House is located between Victoria Station and Shude Hill. The entrance to the building is on the corner of Federation St and Hanover St.
