Hackschool Classic: Code π, Pizza π & Fun π
Details
In which language will the event take place?
To allow English speakers to participate, we worship the event in English by default. However, our mentors speak fluent German and English. If all participants understand German at the event, we can spontaneously switch to German on site.
Who is the Hackschool Classic aimed at?
-
Absolute beginners (f/m/d): All those who have no previous knowledge of programming or IT and would like to learn how to program. Together with our mentors you can take your first steps. Everything at your speed.
-
Beginners (f/m/d): To all those who have had contact with programming code or IT and are looking for the right atmosphere and environment to continue and get rid of their questions. Do you already have your own projects? Bring them!
-
Professionals & Advanced (f/m/d): To all those who have experienced the superpower of programming and enjoy helping others and sharing their knowledge.
How does it work, a format for such a broad audience?
Hackschool Classic is our most popular format, there is no frontal teaching here. At Hackschool, we want to provide an optimal learning atmosphere. After getting to know each other, we will give you an overview of free learning opportunities and an overview of the world of programming. All participants should be able to continue independently after the Hackschool. With us, everyone can be a mentor; everyone helps everyone is the motto. After the introduction, everyone will work at their own pace on their own tutorials, online courses or already started projects. The only important thing is that you are not alone at Hackschool! Finally, you can ask our mentors all your questions, if you don't understand something, if you're stuck or if you want to debate about your favorite framework. That's why there's room for everyone at Hackschool, no matter what your previous knowledge is.
Okay cool and what do I need to bring with me?
For the Hackschool you do NOT need any previous knowledge but only a laptop. Please make sure your laptop is ready to go beforehand π. This means that your battery is charged, you remembered your charging cable, your WLAN is working and that all updates are installed.
Is there anything to eat?
There will be plenty of drinks, snacks and of course pizza π (we will also order vegetarian pizza - vegan on request)!
What will we learn at the programming world overview talk?
-
What is a programming language? What languages are there and for which use case do I use which one?
-
Where and how can I learn programming? Which offers are there? Which offer is suitable for me?
-
What can I look out for when asking or answering questions? Are there any stupid questions?
We are looking forward to your coming!

PS: Wooooooooo! You probably don't know it, but this is our first Hackschool in two years, so our excitement is correspondingly high that it's finally starting up again. π₯³π€©π
