Last minute - Hardware Hacking a Crowd Cam

Thursday night, a few of our members are getting together at Interlock Rochester (, our local hacker space, to tackle the following challenge:

Create a low cost, easily portable, quick to set up, crowd camera.

The hope is to get something that can be tested at one of the upcoming outdoor events.

Everyone is welcome to attend -- no making skills are required. And its a great chance to check out our awesome local hackers space!

Sounds like a great meeting was had by all. The plan is to hold a follow up once the parts for the cameras come in and then hold a "shoot it" event!

I'll be there by 7. There's a door-bot by the door where you can ring us and get buzzed up (door #7) to the second floor. I suspect we'll mostly be cutty/gluey constructing a camera platform to suspend under our helium balloon. We could also take a look at the map stitching app, and maybe try to test it out on some sample imagery.
