Halifax 45+ LGBTQ Commingle is a social group for those of us (couples and singles) who like to participate in fun, social activities with a nice balance of gay and bi guys and gals. We will eat, drink, talk, mix, play, march, ride, explore, hike, swim, travel, game, hang out, socialize and, therefore, we *will* make new friends. We will go to concerts, festivals, plays, sporting events, parks, shows, movies, beaches, and more. And we will be loud when we have to! LGBT friends and allies are also welcome.
Note: You must have a pic of yourself and your name on your profile to join. No promoters, no sales-folks.
This free workshop will inform participants of the unique circumstances of intimate partner violence in the rainbow community, address the most common barriers LGBTQ2S+ individuals face accessing services, and explore what service providers can do to increase their capacity and better support LGBTQ2S+ survivors of intimate partner violence.
No need to RSVP - just show up.
Please note that this workshop has a content warning. At times, the material in this workshop discusses violence, sexual violence, sexual assault, rape, discrimination, and homo/bi/transphobia.
