Machine learning, deep learning? How do you know which algorithm to choose? This session is for all skill levels and will have a little something for everyone.

Geetika Bhatia, PhD, the DeepSense Algorithm & Software Specialist, will lead an engaging session about machine learning and deep learning models.
During this meet-up we will explore:
*What is AI, Machine Learning?
*Algorithm vs Models: What is the difference?
*Models: How to choose an algorithm to solve your problem
*Only one or many: How many different algorithms should you try when trying to build an AI solution
*Classification problem: Understand the pros and cons of various algorithm options
*Hardware: What hardware is required to training different models and why DeepSense, as an example, helps make machine learning easier.

Geetika Bhatia, Ph.D. completed her Master’s in Computer Science focused on Adhoc Networks. She completed her Ph.D. dissertation focused on Social Network Analysis using machine learning algorithms. She has been within the education sector for the last 15 years with a variety of roles such as Assistant Professor, Project Guide and supervisor. She loves to mentor the students. Her Data Science journey started with a Ph.D. when she started publishing papers for reputed conferences and Journals. She also has industry experience as she worked with Rein Technologies as Data Scientist where she got a chance to work with Deep Learning algorithms. She loves to play with data and explore different ML\DL algorithms with a strong passion for Data Science.
