This is a group for anyone that works in sport psychology, is interested in sport psychology, or wants to learn how they might be able to better utilize their brain to improve performance. Each month I will bring a certain technique or concept to talk about. Concepts will range from how to improve self-awareness, regulate emotions and thoughts, improve focus and concentration, or how to be more mindful. I am trying to get together like minded people to chat about the field of sport psychology and learn from one another. You don't have to be a professional in the field! Just come with an open mind and a friendly disposition! I envision this being a meet-up for coffee, lunch, happy hour, or walks on the beach.
In a nutshell, sport psychology is the study of how the psychology can be leveraged in a way to improve performance. The techniques in sport psychology are not limited to athletes - they are used by anyone interested in improving their confidence, attention/focus, performing under pressure, attaining goals, or generally feeling more in control of your actions.
