What we're about

Public Group

The Hammerin' Wheels are all about being active on your bicycle. We have events for riders of all levels, on both paved and unpaved trails/roads.

Our club is divided into 3 separate sides.

You are currently on the "casual" rides site. In this group you will find riders that are casual in attitude, but not necessarily ability. We post several different kinds of rides for road cyclists of all skill levels. We always try to be social and include a fun gathering afterwards.

Most of our rides include a sweep, and we will not leave a regroup until all riders are accounted for. If you’re new to the sport of road cycling, we will be happy to help guide you and teach you the basics. Contact a ride leader ahead of time if you want to know if a ride is within your abilities.

With that being said, we are not just beginners, and many of our riders average 18+ mph on the flats. We offer a little bit of everything, from beginner rides to centuries.

You can also visit our road bike site at . Here you will find rides that vary in length and speed, this site is meant for cyclists who have combination of experience and/or some sort of athletic ability.

If you are interested in hitting the dirt please visit our Mountain bike site here. . Here you will find anything and everything to do with dirt! Most rides break into sub groups based on skill level.

In the name of safety we do require helmets.

Please be sure to visit our "About Us" ( section to get even more information about this group.

Please visit our Sponsors, listed in the "Our Sponsors" column in the left margin of every page. These are the people who help to keep this a FREE group!! Please stop in and say Thanks for sponsoring the Hammerin' Wheels!!!
