What we're about

How do you manage containers, VMs, bare metal, and cloud services in a business or enterprise? With versioned controlled code, automation and orchestration of course!

Essentially we are just SysAdmins or Devs with newer and more powerful tools to help us do our jobs, right? We also need to get the processes right and we need our business to support our new methods.

If you want to learn how to build, manage and monitor infrastructure, VMs or instances. We will try to help get you started with automation, orchestration, configuration management and DevOPs toolchains.

This meetup is for Hampshire, Surrey & Berkshire :

Unix/Linux sysadmins/engineers
Windows admins/engineers
VMware engineers
Cloud admins/engineers
Developers and wannabe full stack Developers
Network Engineers
Security Engineers
Test Engineers
Site Reliability Engineers

We’ve been at some meetups where you are dropped right in at the deep end of a topic and a lot of prior knowledge is assumed. We will endeavour to gently ease you into a subject before plunging into a talk from an expert.

We will explore Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, AWS, Openstack, Github/Gitlab, Jenkins and many more.

The format of a typical evening is like this:

## 1st Talk: This is talk aimed at people who are completely new to the topics or automation/coding. We are really keen on this being somewhere to gain that initial introduction to a topic if you haven’t already.

## 2nd Talk: If we have time we will have real world war stories or examples of how people have used to tools for their specific use cases.

## 3rd Talk: Deep dive into a topic usually presented by a vendor representative, topic advocate or guru.

We are really keen on the first talk being somewhere to gain that initial introduction to a topic if you haven’t already. So if you are familiar with it and running late, then come along anyway, you can catch the 2nd and 3rd talks.

We are very keen for Vendors and individuals to present a talks so please message us. Share your knowledge and submit a talk.
